Adoption Process
-
You are interested in adoption— amazing! At our lounge, there are signs/display menus that provide information of our adoptable cats. Here are ways to identify your feline friend: (1) You can identify the cat using the name and their assigned identification number (if ID number is applicable). (2) Take a photo of the sign to remember which cat you would like to adopt. (3) If you want to fill out a form immediately, scan the QR code on the cat’s information sign.
-
The cats in our lounge may come from more than one partnering rescue. Check the photo of the cat’s information sign to see which rescue the cat comes from. You will need to fill an application through that rescue specifically.
-
To save paper, and for convenience, you can fill out an online application through the rescue’s website. If you’re already at the lounge, you can scan the QR code found on the cat’s information poster for direct access to the adoption application form.
NOTE: Each rescue has a different application process. including turnaround time. It is often seen that the adoption process is completed within 2 - 4 days on average.

The rescues will reach out to you within 3-5 days. A rescue representative will determine if you and your desired feline companion are the perfect match. If everything checks out, you’ll be able to take your fur baby home soon!
-
A pick-up date will be scheduled for you to take your feline companion home! You must bring a carrier to pick-up. Don’t forget to pay the adoption fees (if you have not already) to complete the adoption.
Please note that all adoptions are facilitated through the rescue organizations that we partner with. Cat Haven Lounge is a foster facility and does not screen adoption applications. If you have questions about a cat you’ve adopted or about the adoption application, please contact the rescue you are adopting from.
